On February 9th, 2020, the Armenian Sisters Academy celebrated its 35 year anniversary. The gala ceremony was held at the Metropol Banquet Hall, entertained by Tigran Asatryan’s beautiful songs.

The Hall was full of special guests, benefactors, alumni, parents, and friends. Among the guests were His Excellency Most Reverend Mikael Mouradian’s representative Most Reverend Father Barsegh Baghdasarian, Mother Aroudiag  Sajonian, Superior General of the Armenian Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, Senator Antony Portantino,  Glendale  City’s Mayor Ara Najarian, Mayor Pro Tem City of Gardena Art Kaskanian, Crescenta Valley Town Council President Harry Leon, Director of Public Safety and Special Assignments of  the 5th Council District, the City of Los Angeles Greg Martayan and ASA’s benefactor and friend Mr. Harout Bronozian.

The ceremony started with prayer and national anthems. After Most Rev. Fr. Barsegh blessed the tables, the honored guests shared their thoughts and cordial wishes. Congressman Adam Schiff couldn’t be present, but he sent his video message with his best wishes. From the class of 2000, Dr. Raffi Kotoyan spoke on behalf of the alumni.

Armenian Sisters Academy honored the teachers who dedicated their lives for the Academy more than 20 years; among them was Sister Aguiline, member of the Armenian Sisters of the Immaculate Conception.

We wish that the Armenian Sisters Academy continues its dedication to the Armenian community keeping alive the language and culture, along with religion.  May God bless the Academy!
