Azatuhi Simonyan, Advisor on Diaspora Affairs to the President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, visited the Diocesan Headquarters on Thursday, August 12, 2021.
In a meeting with the Diocesan Primate His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Ms. Simonyan expressed words of gratitude to Archbishop Derderian for the role of the Western Diocese in supplying much-needed humanitarian aid during the 44-day war. Ongoing projects in Artsakh were also introduced by Ms. Simonyan.
In turn, Archbishop Derderian expressed his love and support for our compatriots and the Diocese’s full-fledged support of Artsakh.
Moreover, as had been done in the past, the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, through the collective efforts of the faithful, continues to fulfill the humanitarian obligations entrusted to this venerable and God-oriented institution. Ensuring the livelihood and the prosperity of Armenia and Artsakh will continue to be among our top priorities.
