From May 15-18, His Excellency Armen Baibourtian, Consul General of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles, accompanied by Consulate Advisor Mr. Varazadat Pahlavuni visited the Armenian Community of Seattle, where they met with Armenian leaders of the State of Washington.
On Saturday, May 15, the Consul General met with the Parish Council of Holy Resurrection Armenian Apostolic Church after which he met with the local entrepreneurs.
On Sunday, May 16, the esteemed guests visited the Holy Resurrection Academy, where they met with the administration, teachers as well as the students, after which they took part in the celebration of the Divine Liturgy.
Following the service, a public forum with the faithful was held. After the Rev. Fr. Vazgen Boyajyan welcoming remarks and Mr. Razmig Keutelian’s presentation of the guests, Mr. Baibourtian provided detailed information about the services of the Consulate General and the work that it performs. He then proceeded to answer the questions of those who were present.
Noting that there have been issues in communication due to the distance between the community and the Consulate, the necessary measures will be taken to allow for easier access to the services of the Consulate.
The meetings with the Consul General were valuable and will provide grounds for future cooperation.
