Which foods are good and which are bad for COVID-19? The scientific director of the Federal Research Center for Nutrition and Biotechnology, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Viktor Tutelyan shared his opinion on this.

In an interview with “Izvestia”, the specialist noted that when infected with a coronavirus, the body needs vitamins to strengthen immunity. For problems with the gastrointestinal tract, the specialist recommends eating more sauerkraut. The specialist added that sweets, salty and spicy, sausages and sausages with a high content of trans fats depress the immune system, so it is better to refuse them. You should also reduce the amount of canned vegetables in your diet, as they contain vinegar and a significant amount of salt.
